Located in the heart of Melbourne’s Box Hill precinct, Meet Fresh Box Hill offers a contemporary interpretation of the brand’s origins — a modern dessert destination rooted in the warmth of home. Inspired by the simple joy of sharing sweets around the family table, the design channels comfort, familiarity, and ease into a polished spatial experience.
A calming pastel beige palette sets the tone — warm, soft, and distinct amidst a high-energy food and beverage environment. Travertine tiles, ash-toned timber joinery, quartz carpet, and beige finger tiles create a tactile material composition that is at once textural and serene. Curved forms in signage, furniture, and detailing soften the space, enhancing approachability and comfort throughout.
Material continuity plays a key role in blurring thresholds. A timber soffit detail aligns seamlessly with the external awning joints, creating a sense of architectural rhythm that extends from street to interior. The subtle integration of metal trims and indirect lighting highlights key details while maintaining an overall sense of calm.
The result is a design that feels emotionally resonant without being nostalgic — contemporary in form, but rooted in memory and meaning. Curved quartz counters and custom joinery invite touch and interaction, while soft lighting and sculpted textures elevate the sensory experience. Every element — from spatial planning to material choice — reinforces Meet Fresh’s philosophy of bringing the warmth of home into the retail setting.
The façade treatment is intentionally restrained, preserving the character of the original streetscape with minimal yet precise interventions. Travertine wall tiles and tonal accents enhance the brand’s street presence while allowing the interior language to carry through.
More than a shopfront, Meet Fresh Box Hill is an architectural expression of comfort and connection — a place designed not just for dining, but for slowing down, gathering, and feeling at home.
