Studio Wall

Set within a classically detailed building, this studio fit-out explores the tension between heritage character and contemporary minimalism — creating a thoughtful and functional workspace that reflects both creativity and control.

The design carefully preserves original architectural elements — ornate cornices, architraves, and ceiling roses — using them as a textured backdrop for a clean, pared-back intervention. White walls and neutral surfaces allow the existing detailing to stand out, while deliberate insertions of colour define different zones throughout the space.

Bright moments — in joinery, furniture, or finishes — subtly carve out meeting areas, workstations, and shared spaces, bringing energy and clarity to the otherwise restrained palette. The result is a studio that feels both focused and expressive, balancing the discipline of architectural work with the warmth of a collaborative, evolving space.

This project is a study in contrast — where old and new are not in competition, but in quiet conversation.
