Top Tea Chadstone

Top Tea Chadstone redefines the retail kiosk as an immersive, sculptural object — a spatial cipher that encodes the brand’s identity through light, texture, and movement. Set within the flowing atrium of Chadstone Shopping Centre, this compact installation transforms a high-traffic site into a landmark of precision and presence.

Designed in the round, the kiosk eliminates the idea of front and back — instead, it becomes a 360° interface for interaction. A central service island is wrapped in modular, folded stainless-steel panels, forming a continuous surface that acts as structure, signage, and seating. Engraved braille and poetic brand mottos are subtly embedded into the cladding, inviting tactile engagement and moments of quiet discovery.

The design draws on the metaphor of a “mystery cipher,” reflecting the layered complexity of Top Tea’s beverages. The kiosk performs at multiple levels — visually striking from afar, yet finely detailed up close. Soft lighting is integrated into the steel forms, casting a warm glow that guides movement and creates atmosphere without excess.

Every fold and curve has a function, from ledges that act as leaners to the integrated seating that encourages people to pause and stay.

Top Tea Chadstone resists convention. There is no applied branding — the architecture itself carries the identity. This is not just a kiosk, but a performative object: one that invites, engages, and embeds the brand experience into its very fabric.

By rethinking the typology, the project offers a new benchmark for retail environments — where storytelling, material intelligence, and operational clarity come together in a single sculptural features.
